There are a lot of things to do in the area and Maggie Valley is in the middle of it all. Here are just a handful of things to do.
   v    Lake Junaluska Museums, Facilities & Events (8 minutes)
   v    Daytrip to Sliding Rock, Waterfalls & Blue Ridge Parkway. Travel thru Cold Mountain & the Pisgah National Forest to Sliding Rock (natural waterslide in the middle of a river), then on to Looking Glass Waterfall, then on to the Blue Ridge Parkway & Graveyard Fields Lower & Upper Falls, then continue on the Blue Ridge Parkway with spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains.
   v    Daytrip to Cherokee Indian Reservation - Just 25 minutes away. Indian Shops, Indian Dancers, Panning for Gold & Rubys, Mingo Waterfall (10 story waterfall), Soco Waterfall & more.
   v    Daytrip to Smoky Mountain National Park. Just 30 minutes away. The most visited National Park in America. Visitors Center has an old NC Farm Homstead set up from the mid 1800's. Many views of the mountains from various pull outs. Many hikes of various length available.
   v    Blue Ridge Parkway. Entrance is just 10 minutes away. Spectacular views of the Smokey Mountains from various pull offs. Many hikes of various length available.
   v    Day Trip to Gatlinburg taking the scenic route over the Smokey Mountain National Park. The drive to Gatlinburg is part of the fun since the route climbs to 6,000 feet, and the National park visitors center is worth a stop as they have an mid 1800's Farm Homestead set up.
   v    Western North Carolina Nature Center-Asheville NC-Just 35 minutes away. A great zoo with Bears, Bobcats, Cougars, Cows, Deer, Eagles, etc, etc, etc. Very reasonable admission. www.WildWNC.org
   v    Day trip to Dollywood. Dollywood is about 90 minutes away and is a great Smoky Mountain Amusement Park, and includes all sorts of rides & shows, etc.

GROUP FACILITIES:

Conference Room
There is no charge for the use of our rec room/conference room/pool deck area. The rec room/conference room will seat 50 for a sit down dinner.   Tables & chairs are also provided and you can set them up anyway you would like. The conference room also has a fireplace and a flat screen TV & DVD player in case you want to show movies or have a presentation.

Pool Deck
The wooden deck outside the pool seats 40 easily and we can set up additional tables & chairs as well. There is also a large charcoal grill for your events.

Pool/Hot Tub
We have an indoor heated pool, hot tub & playground on property. The indoor pool roof also lowers in the summer.

Playground:
In addition to swings and slides, we have volleyball nets and plenty of space for other group events.

Cabins:
Cabins are fully furnished with all kitchen utensils, all beddings & linens including extra towels for the indoor heated pool & hot tub, and all cabins have washer/dryers. All cabins have air conditioning and electric heat (besides the fireplaces).

No Hidden Fees:
There are no cabin cleaning fees or booking fees for our reservations. So you don't have to worry about your families being charged hidden fees.

Fire Pits:
We have 2 fire pits on property in case you want to have a weeny roast or marshmallow roast for smores, etc. One of the fire pits is located in the middle of the property in Viola park. 10 of the cabins surround this park. The other fire pit is located in the middle of the pool, hot tub, playground, conference room & wood pool deck. Most families use this fire pit so the families can swim and use the playground, volleyball & soccer field at the same time. We provide wood for the fire pits.

Caterers:
We can recommend several area restaurants/food catering services to fit your budget. These catering services are familiar with our facilities and have worked with our church group customers.
